Glps for 20 lbs

You absolutely can, BUT you fall in the category of people who will gain it back unless you continue taking it for the rest of your life.

I went from 140 to 120 in 2-3 months on super low dose of tirz. Got it from Lilly direct (use online doc to prescribe). Been micro-dosing (half dose/vial of 2.5 every two weeks) last 2-3 months and maintaining easily. No side effects. Miracle drug, really!

It absolutely is a miracle, but I do think it's important to start it while you already established good habits and activity levels. I didn't the previous time and it all came back. I was eating awfully while on it too, total couch potato. Lost a lot of weight and regained. This time I first got my eating in order (very simple whole foods diet), added daily exercise...and lost just a couple pounds in many months despite all that. Added tirzepatide and poof, weight fell off like magic.

My doctor wouldn't prescribe and I'm scared of online places. Started WW a month ago and down 9 pounds.

Got tirz from an online provider, has been great and I’m at my goal weight. I take a low maintenance dose once every 3-4 weeks now. Never had any side effects other than improved A1C and low appetite.

However, if you only have 20 lbs to lose that means you are not likely to stay on it for life and I can tell you from experience, and backed by the research,  that if you can not change your habits enough to lose 20 lbs then you will not maintain that fat loss and regain it quickly as soon as you go off the medication..

I've maintained a similar weight loss for almost two years on a low maintenance dose. I stretch my online order. Not hard.

Reading is fundamental..

Because you have not gone off medication. Again, if you plan on staying on it for life then yes you will lose weigh and keep it off. if you do not and do not change habits/learn to be hungry you will gain it all back WHEN YOU GO OFF THE MEDICATIOM

I used Ro to get compounded Semaglutide for 4 months and lose 28lbs.

You’re so dramatic. I quit cold turkey 6 months ago and DH did 10 months ago. Neither of us has gained more than 2 pounds that fluctuate daily. I lost about 30 pounds and he lost around 90.

Anonymous wrote:"Can u?" Well, you would need to get a doctor to prescribe it. And a lot of them will not as they are pretty powerful drugs with serious side effects. And most pcp these days are referring patients who absolutely need glp-1 meds for obesity out to weight loss clinics as the paperwork for glp-1 meds can be overwhelming and pcp offices don't have the time to deal with it. So ... good luck. But I hear the shady online weight loss clinics will do it.

This hasn’t been my experience. I told my excellent double board certified physician that I wanted to try it and got immediate support and encouragement. Side effects are very minimal and you won’t need to be on it more than two months for20 lb loss. It has other benefits too, so it’s a win win.

It hasn't been your experience that "a lot of them" will not prescribe it due to the administrative hassle? Or it has been your experience that your ONE ("double board certified" -- lol) doctor gave you "immediate support and encouragement"? It's always hilarious to me how many people here don't understand the relative lack of persuasive thrust that a sample size of one has.
