Do any of the senior living places have apartments you can stay in to gauge interest?

Yes, I’ve looked at that. Was trying to get more specific than ranges, understand if there are hidden costs, etc.

I know that Erickson Senior Living offers this. I was on a tour with my parents and a lady popped out of her room to chat, was there for two nights or something like that to test it out.

Maybe there is a friend or family member who lives there and could reserve a room for your mom?

My mom and her friends are very happy there.

Yep, was going to suggest that. My grandma’s community has a furnished apartment unit that they can reserve and rent for up to a week for relatives (the relatives aren’t allowed to stay overnight in the actual units). I don’t know the exact rules about who qualifies as a relative, though.

+1--two nights free to gauge how you like it. Woodleigh Chase, Ashby Ponds, Greenspring.
