Club team tryout frequency

A winter tryout for an existing baseball team is a money grab for the organization to pull enough outside kids to create a new B or C team because they need cash.

Soccer parent here of a U17 DD playing ECNL.

No fee for tryouts - the are called ID Sessions to sound fancy. They are held each spring for the following fall season. And, they are not open, so there is not a gaggle of players all over the place. They will invite players that they would like to move up from a lower level team or will have some of those players practice with the team throughout the year.

My DDs team had no changes from last year to this year for example.
