You probably mean paper wasps that are yellow striped, not actual yellowjacket wasps. Regardless, wasps try to find a dry warm place to winter over, so they try to get in.

Shoo them away with a broom or waterhose. No big deal.

Don’t say that. For some people they can be lethal.

I'd imagine if someone were allergic, which is around 1% of the world, then they'd know it by adulthood. If not, Darwin gets them.

Bad assumption.

We have them in our house - they’re coming in through a hole near the attic. Pest control isn’t successful so far….

Don't care. It is what it is.

We have carpenter bees. A ton behind our plantation shutters. 3-5 sneak in a day. 30 dead by the end of the week.

Yes! We bought an electric zapper on Amazon. We have a nest somewhere outside our basement. We have dusted DE as well. Glad I’m not alone. The school also has them really bad where my kids go. My son got stung
On his finger last week. They are REALLY bad this year.

Get Spectracide Yellow Jackets and Hornets. It’s a spray. Apply it where these very aggressive creatures like to hide near the house entrances.
I’m allergic and the sting almost killed me in a matter of 40 minutes.

You need a professional pest control treatment. They come with guarantees - i.e. if the yellow jackets come back / do not appear to have been sufficiently zapped, the pest control guys will return and re-treat the area.

We had them every year at the front of our house in Bethesda. Finally we had the gap between the roof and the guttering sealed and they no longer had access (after being exterminated).

We used a local company.
