| Wow, ALL. Haters gonna hate! |
|
PSU alumni can band together and commiserate over that brutal loss yesterday - season over folks!
Bucknell a much better network for PA grads.. |
lol this is such garbage. |

For comparison, Town & Country published a similar article in 2023, "The 15 Colleges with the Best Alumni Networks," with IvyWise as the supporting source. This is the entire list, which appeared alphabetically and was not ranked:
Bucknell Claremont McKenna Dartmouth Fordham Hamilton Ohio State Penn State Princeton Smith College Texas A&M U Alabama Notre Dame Richmond Villanova Virginia Tech https://www.townandcountrymag.com/society/tradition/g44675332/colleges-with-the-best-alumni-networks/ |
There were a few alumni at my house last night. People in their fifties lamenting “their loss” to UCLA. I’m not sure why, but I was secretly so pleased. |
So true. Like roaches. |
I’d spend $400K on Bucknell to avoid indoctrinating my kids into that whole PSU thing |
| Any list that doesn’t have a kid’s school on it or isn’t an Ivy is always suspect by DCUM. It’s ironic that DC is so educated, yet so close minded. Ivy and some NE liberal arts schools are great, but great schools exist elsewhere too. |
Babson’s in Wellesley.

I post so rarely I did it wrong, so will do it correctly
this is so completely true, and I rarely post on this site - some schools just nurture and develop obnoxious alumni - Duke, Cornell, Williams, and Penn State are 4 very different types of schools, but I find their alumni insufferable and tend to throw out resumes from these schools signed, Hedge Fund Hiring Manager for 25 years |
For me it’s Duke, Princeton, and Dartmouth grads who are just awful. |
Sounds like you have a chip on your shoulder. You did these people a favor. |
| Hired hundreds of people and never met anyone from any of those schools listed. |
Same. Have hired a lot of people from UMD, Penn State, Rutgers, Clemson, Michigan, Ohio State, Delaware.. notice a trend? They're all state flagships. |
