Watching The West Wing

Funny and not too far from what really happens.

I had to stop watching Veep once Trump came into office. Was watching in real time and never finished.

I get it. Jonah Ryan was such perfect satire of MAGA, it’s so depressing that it’s reality now.

Same. It's been so long since it started. Feels like another generation / lifetime

I loved it. I can't watch it again because it makes me too nostalgic and sad.

It was never realistic.

Ask anyone who has worked in politics.

I think it's why it's called entertainment! LOL

I love it but yes, agree, it's hard to watch now as it just saddens me on what our reality has become!

The Diplomat is a good 2nd choice if you loved West Wing. You got CJ and Josh actors on it this new 3rd season! And the dialogue is reminiscent of West Wing but yeah, nobody does the Presidency as well as Martin Sheen

Back in those days, the shows were so great because they were so dialogue/character driven like ER, Friday Night Lights, etc. These days it's more plot and maybe character driven.

I need this escape in these terrifying times.

This is one of my favorite shows of all time. The Big Block of Cheese Day episode is so heart-warming. We could use Jed Bartlett right now.

Veep is the comedic version of the West Wing. They are both absolutely brilliant shows.
