Booster med or non-stimulant to get through homework? Any experience?

My son is younger than yours but he’s on instant release. He takes two doses per day and on days we need longer coverage, he takes a half dose booster.

He’s also on clonidine to help him sleep at night and we give magnesium so we haven’t had an issue with bedtime - we usually give a booster at least 4 hours before bedtime.

No, the extended release (“XR”) makes it last longer than immediate release. You’re just getting more medication over 12 hours.

Correct, but 20mg XR doesn't last longer than 15mg XR. There's no way that a booster at 4 would reduce the amount of XR needed in the morning.
