IM shots for IVF

Anonymous
Be careful about doing the IM PIO shots by yourself...especially if there isn't anyone in the house at the time.

I did one and accidently hit a nerve (don't be too freaked out...this will likely not happen if you're careful about staying in the proper zone).

When I hit the nerve it was so god aweful painful I couldn't reach around to get the thing out and just screamed bloody murder until my DH came and rescued me. Holy crap did that suck.

My DH did all IM shots after that.

I can't guarantee they will let you do it, but you can at least ask. And, SG moved universally to Endometrin suppositories last year, so no worries about PIO shots.

Endometrin is on hold by Ferring....Prometrium or Crinone are what is available via suppository at the moment.

I literally got a delivery of Endometrin today from Aetna specialty pharmacy.
