I don't even think these places actually requirement noticeably less yard work - you still have landscaping around the house and a small amount of grass that needs to be cut. Likely these people hire a landscaping company and I double they get charged less than I get charged with my small yard that gives my kids a place to play.

22207 isn’t walkable though, so I don’t totally buy this. What’s the appeal with those neighborhoods now vs McLean if you can get a $3M new build in both, but the 22207 one has zero yard, worse schools, and you still have a 1% walk score?

The above holds for your orange line perimeter neighborhoods though.
