Do most freshmen come home for fall break?

Yes, unfortunately her break coincides with that of three of her best friends so I doubt we will see much of her.

Also the plan was to change out summer clothes for winter but it seems like it’s going to be hot forever.

Both my adult children (married, unmarried, in college, working) come home all the time - breaks, weekends, holidays etc. Our house is the mother ship, their permanent address in some ways. When we are gone from this earth, then this will end. Till the time DH or I am alive...this house is my children's home. Also, by extension - this house is also open to their spouses and our future grandkids.

Our freshman daughter is coming home. Happy at school and also looking forward to seeing our dog, sleeping in her bed, chilling out. I think it's good to have a break from communal living.

It’s called a break for a reason. Let the kid enjoy the comforts of home for a couple nights.

Most of the kids at my kid's school leave during the break. She's not coming home because we're far away, so she's going to visit friends at a nearby college. A lot go home though.

Our DS only gets a day off for Fall break. We are local so not sure what he is going to do. He comes a few hours a week to hang with his brother, who is only a year younger, and do laundry. He doesn't spend the night at home.

He has always been a home body so none of this is a surprise to us. In our opinion, he has done a great job of getting involved at school.

Yes. Consider making DC's comfort food while home.
