This. Try to push for extra vacation or something.

As a hiring manager, I will tell you that extra money is by far the easiest thing to ask for. Sometimes a signing bonus is easier than a higher salary. A big enough company has strict policies for stuff like vacation that are difficult to make exceptions to.
