Had th vaccine a week ago, no issues |
I had no reaction to RSV, maybe a sore-ish arm, but nothing major. The only vax that I had a reaction to was shingles, both shots. |
Hi OP have you seen this public service advert about RSV? I see it all the time because of the television stations I watch all day with my elder patients. It really makes you think about the value of the time you have left, doesn't it?
I'm only 54 but I'm getting the RSV vaccine this Friday because I have lung issues and other health issues that make me high risk - and I'm an elder caregiver to very vulnerable folks so I want to stay healthy for work and minimize the chances of contracting and passing it on. If you still haven't decided yet, I can let you know how I feel over the weekend. Last two Fridays were covid (yuck for a whole day) and flu (semi-yuck for a day) and I'm happy to be protected when the germs start swirling this fall/winter. |
I got my flu and Covid shots at CVS last week and they suggested I get RSV too, but I am putting it off for now, since 2 at once was enough. I’m 55. |
OP. I got the consent forms at Safeway. Will get flu shot beginning of October, then RSV a bit later. Only one arm to get shots in after surgery on the right side a while back. Thank you for the helpful fedback. |
Oh. And 14:44 do let us know how it goes.
The old Moderna used to really lay me out, sore arm, malaise, fever. The new mNEXSPIKE was great. Hardly sore arm at all. |
I got it when I was in my 40s because I have lung issues. My arm was sore for about 2 days, and I had general flu-like "ugh" for about 24 hours.

I got the new one and my arm was sore for about 48 hours and I had a low-grade fever and flu-like "ugh" for about a day. I think this is just how I respond to vaccines (except for MMR, which I've gotten 5 times in the past 5 years, and I still have no discernible measles immunity...) |
