Can we submit ED 1 for 2 schools and withdraw

OP here. I am new to this. I did not know applying to multiple ED schools was definitely not allowed in all circumstances. Thank you to the posters in this thread who bothered to respond with factual, useful information.

How could a student apply a binding ED application to more than one school? How can one person possibly attend two colleges at once?

It is pretty clearly stated that ED is binding. How could you be bound to more than one place? (New poster.)

You can however apply early action (non-binding) to additional schools and many applicants do.
