Hi OP I have been in a similar situation. Try to remind yourself not to suffer imagined troubles, at this point you don’t know that there is a problem. Hard to do sometimes, but stay as busy as you can to distract yourself. Wishing you good news soon.

The BAM! Instrusive thought! is such an a-hole, isn't it? I think it's something wired into our monkey brains so that we don't get too complacent and we're always on our toes. So it is your brain wanting you to survive, in a weird way! Lots of good advice on meditating and getting through the waiting. Hugs to you.
