Anacostia Skate Pavilion
Kenilworth Gardens -especially when lotus bloom

All of these.

Plus, in no particular order:
Eastern Market on a Sunday
Union Market food hall and Hi-Lawn on roof for the view
Lots of areas of Rock Creek Park to explore
Professional Ultimate Frisbee at Carlini Field (Catholic U campus)
Embassy events
Dumbarton Oaks
Franciscan Monastery gardens
MLK library and some of the other newer DC public libraries, esp. to see exhibits and events
Somewhere Crush Funk Brass Band is performing
Washington Spirit game at Audi Field
Smithsonian Folklife Festival

+100 to Crush Funk Brass Band and they are performing at Glover Park art all night this Friday for free!

Not in season right now, but in summer: Twilight Tattoo at Fort Myer, Sunset Parade at Iwo Jima memorial, and Netherlands Carillon concert. All free. Technically in Arlington, though, not DC.

The National Cathedral!

Give yourself plenty of time to really explore. Go in the spring and see the Bishop Garden's tulips. Then walk across the street and grab lunch at 2Amy's or Cactus Cantina.

I see it's on your to-do list; I love the Renwick. It's the perfect size that you can see everything in one visit, and there's always a cool exhibit on.

There’s still a 9:30 club, though: https://www.930.com/
