Got rear-ended at a stoplight for the first time

Anonymous
A coworker rear ended someone at a stop light similarly to OP. Apologized and offered her info. Next thing she hears from her insurance that the other driver hired a lawyer and sued and they are just going to settle for $25k as it is more expensive for them to fight the case.

I’m not sure you need an attorney, but why would you ask anonymous DCUM posters for a reference instead of the malpractice attorney you already have an established relationship with?

How were you injured? How fast was the car going to get to a stop sign?

Accidents happen. Just process it and move on. That's what insurance is for

Red flag! If you have a pending lawsuit, you are probably too litigious. Let this one go OP.

Call your own insurance let them deal with it. It will not raise your rates. BTDT.

There is no way you’re injured. Stop being greedy. File with insurance and call it a day.

Are you my neighbor who sues everyone who looks at them funny?

Thanks for the empathy. I can see most of you were the causes of accidents.

its hilarious that you currently have a lawyer, but want a different lawyer. And that you automatically assumed you would sue. How bizarre.

Wow ungrateful OP.
Being told to work thru your own insurance company for claims is HELPFUL what are you paying them for. Or are you uninsured? It does not raise your rates. I worked thru State Form for a t-bone accident not my fault and car took weeks to fix. Kept my safe driver discount!

I stopped at the light and no police were came out because it wasn't deemed an emergency from when I called. But my car definitely is not drivable and at that moment I did not know it. I took a bunch of pictures.

If your car was not driveable and required a tow Police should have come out. Did you tell them that when you called?

No empathy needed for liars.
