So for me it indicates a period in history. But that's fine! If you're want another one, go ahead. I hope you don't decide what to buy based on other people's opinions...

I already own one...the vintage one. So the opinions of people from 2025 really didn't impact me buying it in the 1980s.

Yet here you are, asking about it on DCUM in 2025. Wear what you want, OP.

I'm not asking for me, as in: tell me if I should wear this or buy a new one. I'm asking what others think of the look. It's a fashion thread...just asking opinions on the look of the kisslock purse versus the kisslock as a coin purse.

I have a vintage Marc Jacobs mini stam, which is a similar style. I like it.

What a stupid looking bag (the new, giant one)

I like how the wrinkles at the too give it a drawstring closure type feel.

Mine is very light (the original one) and it opens with one hand. I wouldn't think it would be a big deal to use two hands, though.

I would wear your original purse. I would not buy a new one.

PP. Okay, let me be more specific. I actually like the older style better. The new one is really big and more awkwardly shaped. The older one is suitable to wear again today. Vintage Coach is in. It qualifies.

Costume.

Not my style. It looks like what my grandmother called her “pocketbook.”

My fave bag is a large vintage gathered frame with a kiss lock so I like it.

OP - Just a word of caution, I currently have 2 brand new coach bags I bought as crossbodies Smaller than the size of your pic. Never wore either because everytime I went for it, the bags were just too heavy. I don't know if or when coach bags changed weight. It's just not of practical use although the look at functionality in terms of pockets etc is great.

I do like kisslocks though and good to know my old clutch (not Coach) is trending.

+1. I am not young and this definitely reminds me of grandma's pocketbook!

They are both hideous.

I can smell my grandma's cigarettes when I look at that picture.

This. I have a vintage Gucci one from my Grandma. I love it because it reminds me of her because it's pretty much all she used. I'll use it as a clutch style going out back every one in awhile but it definitely feels "grandma ish"
