Yes, mine did too. OP, if this goes on for more than say 3-4 days, I would take her to the ped.

I second the neti pot flush. I started these on my kids as young as 2. My two younger kids had no problem with it. I didn't start my oldest until she was 5 and she turned out to be the hardest, simply because she anticipated it would be bad. I also like Nature's Way Umcka - Cold Care, it never fails me. Within 48 hrs of starting it the cough subsides. It's derived from an African plant. I've researched the colloidal silver stuff...run!

I think there may be some dangers with elevating the matress on the crib..I think I read about that somewhere. I do use the humidifier and also a teaspoon of honey (if your child isn't allergic).

Those of you with the pneumonia stories are scaring me... my DD has had a cough (and runny nose on/off) for a couple of months now but the pediatrician said it was allergies. We tried an inhaler and it seemed to help a bit but it hasn't gotten a little better (not coughing all night long now, just a few times throughout the night) so we gave up since she acted like we were murdering her.
