OP specified “currently in college”

and others started talking about PLL for the men so why not expand beyond college for the women as well?

The local boys seems to have a better history of developing college talent compared to the local girls. Why do we think that is? The girls seem to have more opportunities for sure.

She's the best girl from the DC area for sure!

Anonymous wrote:The best player to come out of the DC area in the past decade is Jackson Eicher (Army) He was a Tewaaraton finalist last year.

What's wild is he played for Episcopal in HS.
While a solid HS program, historically its not on the same caliber as a Landon, GP or GZ.

Note, I'm not including STAB alums as the DC area.
Everybody can have their favorite, but best player in 10 years in certainly up for debate. And Eicher also went to Fauquier High School. Not really that wild, individual talent doesn't equate to team standing.

The best pro guys now are Rowlett, Young and Rexrode, from NOVA publics. Posey was getting there, not sure if he got injured in the back half of the year.

Eicher transferred to Episcopal from a NOVA Public.

Rowlett comes off as complete tool/ lax bro. He is not the best role model for this sport.

Using a somewhat generous definition of DMV, Megan Taylor remains the only goalie to win the Tewaaraton.

Not sure if Matan was injured or not but Duffy took his spot.

I don't know why he's on a thread for the best alums in the DMV, but he started almost 2/3 of the games in 2024, and 18 out of 18 while mostly playing the whole game this year. Duffy also started.

From SSSAS, Emmy Pascal and Annabel Frist were both on the Tewaaraton Watch List last season. Pascal is a four year starter at Yale--who ended the season ranked fifth in the country--and Captain for Yale n the coming season. First was injured last year, I think an ACL tear, but may well also be a Stanford Captain this coming season. They finished last year top 10. Not sure of any other current standouts still in college.

Checco has led D1 in CTs for his first 3 yrs. One more good year and he is an all time D1 great.

Do not remember him at EHS but yes he is a monster at the top D1 level
