I don’t get this either.
We got 0 merit aid from BU and COA is 96k, must be tuition only.

Curious: was that a hard decision to make?

Very surprised by a generous merit offer from a Canadian university (we are American). Turned it down but hurt to do so

What are the chances of colleges in Canada or the UK offering to Americans? I am curious and figured unlikely but this is good to hear!

We received the best financial aid from BU.
What was really great is that BU locks in the first-year tuition rate for all four years, so I didn’t need to worry about tuition increases after my first child graduates from college or if my salary goes up.

Did your child attend or decline the offer?

Are you aware of Net Price Calculators? You can find them on the college's financial aid website and compare the estimates for different colleges now, before your child applies.

This is for need-based aid, not merit scholarships, though sometimes schools that offer merit discounts also include merit in the NPC.

Loyola MD offered $25k in merit plus grants and my DC accepted. He’s a junior now and happy with his choice.

Wow- zero from Pomona and zero from Brown here.

GW offered the most $100k.

Is GW merit? What’s your HHI?

It’s merit. Presidential scholar- $25k/year can use it over 5 years.

We got nothing from T10-20s. Full pay at an Ivy.
