OP here, should I buy it for her? We can afford it but it’s quite expensive.

They sell it at the counters of TJ Maxx and similar stores. My favorite food is chocolate and I like pistachios but it didn’t appeal to me.

It’s the latest trend in food. Buy it or don’t, it doesn’t matter. A normal size bar of Dubai chocolate will set u back $15-$20.
We tried the Lindt one. It was really good. But not worth $15.

I know about the whole hustler culture that praises the UAE despite their homophobia and human rights abuses. As an immigrant from a middle eastern country, I don’t know if DD is trying to connect with her culture or if she’s just doing an internet trend. What should I do?

The name turned me right off. I go to middle eastern grocers and pistachios and chocolate are big. But the name Dubai is a negative for me.

It’s just a tik tok trend what went viral. You can buy tons of versions, or my teens make their own, which is again from insta and til tok but works out cheaper and is kind of fun

"Expensive Kit Kat" is about right.

Perfect description. I bought a bar for a friend without knowing what it was and some for my house and we all loved it a few weeks ago. A local choc shop told me it was the specialty so we tried it. It’s really good.

It was a Crumbl flavor last week. It’s a trend right now.

Didn't like it but it's pretty

Loved the one from TJ Maxx. It was made in Turkey though.
I may try the one from Lidl.

Costco has Dubai Chocolate ice cream sandwiches…

They’re pretty good.

A rich Dubai lady made "Dubai chocolate" by adding pistachio-tahini filling and kunafa (fried phyllo dough shreds) in milk chocolate.

Sorry, but it is quite below average. And quite expensive.

I was underwhelmed. Much prefer the Royce Nama chocolates from Japan.

the lindt is really good. we were in Spain a month ago and it's all over there and cheaper than in the US. tried many different kinds

People (really: girls and women, mostly) are making videos with the filling gushing out all over their faces and hands as they bite into it while trying to look saucy

Um…. It’s a plot by the Dubai government to keep the true meaning of Dubai chocolate (which is definitely sexual and kinky) from being the top search result.

Which isn’t to say it isn’t delicious.

Tin foil hat off.
