Favorite investments for a market crash

That's my plan, too. I hope there is no crash but 47 was a disaster the first time around. I don't expect anything different this time.

How was he a disaster as it relates to the stock market? Maybe the only two successes of his first presidency were the vaccine roll out and stock market performance.

I'm holding more cash because I don't have a lot of confidence, but also for this.

What’s wrong with making political statements or are you fine pretending that becoming a fascist police state is normal as long as your investments keep performing? Wake up. Trump has inserted himself in everything from higher education to our economy and he is just getting started. We can all be polite and just pretend that isn’t the case but what would be the point of denying reality?

NP.
So sick of posters like you. This is not a political forum.

Everything financial is political: spending, market, taxes, housing, healthcare. What a weird statement.

Stock market performance has been pretty apolitical over the long term. For example, Trump averaged 14% annual return in his first four years in office. Performance was great under Biden as well. Both had periods of fairly large downturns, but the market rebounded to new highs shortly thereafter under both presidents.

LOL. You must not be following the news. Trump has taken control of everything including the economy. So kindly explain how one has a conversation about the economy/stock market without mentioning the potential ramifications of Trump’s interventions??

You can’t. It hurts their brains to consider. It’s a fragile sense of being. Even mentioning that tariff policies could cause a recession is too much to consider for them.

January 2026 the US will be in a great depression.

If you have not figured this out by now you are bad at math and history.

This is not then.

Tarriffs were not in place or coming and going etc investors are afraid to invest in the US volatility. No company is building here anytime soon no matter what they say.

Projec 2025 tells you what corporations are going to do with benefits gone, worker injury benefits gone, etc.... Lean working machines mean no jobs for the masses.

Trump is planning on never leaving office. He bankrupted casinos for god's sake, the US will not survive economically a third trump term or a fourth for that matter unless of course you want to live like North Koreans with bread lines or Russians with huge inflalation and bread lines.

I don’t like Trump but you sound like a lunatic.

+1. Clearly.

The top 7 tech companies accounted for about 1/3 of the stock market's growth in the last year.

I think those companies will see some downturn for sure. A lot of money went into AI, and I think it's plateaued in terms of use cases, but also the technology has gotten more efficient = needs fewer chips and hardware to acheive the same results as a year ago.
