Boy to girl ratio in highest maths

I think it’s tough to tell a lot of schools where there are multiple grades in math classes. For instance, honors precalc at our school can have students that are sophomores taking the more advanced track, individual freshmen that are very advanced, and juniors on the normal track.

The 2024 US Math Olympiad Team (the top high school math students in the US) had 1 girl Jessica Wan (first female member since 2007). 8 boys 1 girl.

At my math major student’s college the major is about 70:30 boys to girls.

True. But beyond that there’s Hannah Cairo, who at 17 disproved the Mizohata-Takeuchi conjecture. Truly an amazing moment for girls in mathematics.
