None will give more than the standard accommodations, but all are low key enough that someone with ADHD and a B+ average could be happy. They have very different environments, so you'll want to visit them.

Probably also some Catholic schools, but I don't know anything about them.

This is a good list and I also would add St. John’s. We know a boy with a similar profile who has had a good experience there.

Take Field off the list..super disorganized highschool that says they accommodate adhd and then quietly shames kids who need help.

Such a convenient commute from Bethesda.

It's a boarding school although they do have day students as well. And yes, the structure and executive functioning support there is fantastic.

Whitman is probably too big. But you noted sports. For a lot of ADHD people, sports are zen. It turns their brain off. It's relaxing. So I'd lean into that as you look for other schools.

Also - when you start to think about this in 4 years - so many colleges/universities are starting to offer similar academic support structures for kids with mild/moderate learning issues. We pay an extra 2K a year for a decent level of support at a state flagship school, and found many of the schools we looked at offered similar.

Very interesting. Which colleges offer this?

Do not do this OP.

That is not true. Field is known for this type of kid.

Benilde program at SJC. My daughter (not a strong athlete) got in with high HSPT test scores/grades and medicated ADHD combined.

We loved Holy Child, but she wanted coed.

St. Andrew's is a good option. The class size is around 100 kids with academic classes somewhere around 15-20 kids on average.

St. Andrew's does nothing for ADHD students.

You are quite incorrect. Perhaps they did not do what works best for your ADHD kid, but they do have accommodations for ADHD.

I'd concur that Field is very disorganized. Sure, there still may be ADHD kids there - but I think you can do better elsewhere.
