Two things would have to happen in order for Youngkin to have a chance in 2028.

He'd have to completely separate himself from the very unpopular sitting POTUS

Dems would have to be foolish enough to nominate a candidate as weak as Biden again in 2028

Neither of these are likely occurrences but sure, anything is possible.

Even with Mornin Consult’s wildly inflated approval ratings, Youngkin is toward the bottom among governors’ popularity right now. It’s not going to get better after his Lieutenant Governor gets blown out in a winnable race.
