The rest of the treatment " is a water soluble vitamin. If your pediatrician cant get her brain around how prescribing a vitamin with almost no known side effects might help a vitamin deficiency- get a different pediatrician.
Doctors prescribe off label all the time.

That's too bad. I would switch to a practice that can stay current on the evolving science.
Potomac Psychiatry has a neurodevelopmental pediatrician who is more current and has ordered the frat test for us.

Potomac Psychiatry has a neurodevelopmental pediatrician who is more current and has ordered the frat test for us.

No. Most psychiatrists do not take insurance directly. You have to ask for a superbill and submit that to your insurance company yourself.

Here is why pediatricians need to order the test even if they dont want to prescribe the vitamin. You shouldn't have to pay out of pocket for a specialist just to find out if the child has the antibodies. You already have to pay for the blood and the test itself.
