Who wears a bomber jacket in this heat?

The MA-1 flight jacket, worn by Tom Cruise in the first Top Gun movie, is very popular with LGBBQ people in the West Village.

According to Wikipedia, "These jackets became popular in the late 1970s with punks, mods and skinheads. During the 1980s the jackets had extensive exposure in style magazines such as The Face and i-D, often reimagined by clothing designers of the period."
In the new Top Gun movie, Tom Cruise wears a newer type jacket. The Air Force no longer uses the MA-1. You can still buy them, of course, but they are made in China now.
