Caymans or Belize?

Fwiw, I didn’t mean to diss CR. I was merely reporting that I know several families who have visited Belize, CR, and DR and it was one and done. For whatever reason, people don’t seem to visit multiple times—particularly Belize.

I actually know a family that loved CR so much they purchased a vacation home there, but they are an anomaly.

Cayman is a luxurious beach vacation with excellent food and vey unique excursions in stingray city and the bioluminescent kayak tour and snorkeling or diving and jet skis. Belize is more rustic but with excellent adventures at jaguar paw, ATM, various Mayan ruins, snorkeling. If you are on a budget, I suspect that Belize is a better choice.

Definitely do the cave and waterfall adventure in PR. It's great for teens. I used "I work where you vacation," which was a recommendation I got here.

We loved everything about Belize except the sargassum (it’s is so smelly) and mosquitoes. Go for the jungle not the beach!
