Thoughts on DH running with the bulls - while I'm 30 weeks pregnant

OP I am glad he was ok at least not injured from this dangerous activity.

Things going ok now? You have your baby yet?

They took down r/thebullwins but I enjoyed seeing idiots get trampled and gored.

I despise animal cruelty. I hate men like your husband and I don't understand how you could love someone like him.

I would leave my dh if he participated in this: https://www.peta.org.uk/living/what-happens-during-the-running-of-the-bulls-in-pamplona/

Then don't lie, OP. Say it happened a long time ago and share you're still resentful. The advice is different if we think you're 30 weeks pregnant NOW and he's about to do something stupid, vs, you now have an older child and he's done more stupid things since. Because now it becomes a question of "Are you financially independent and can you divorce?" whereas before it would have been "You're very pregnant, and need to preserve your relationship temporarily to protect yourself and your childbirth and delivery, but consider it a red flag going forward - don't quit your day job". See?

If you can't get over something that happened "long ago" that's also telling for your future. Don't place all the blame on him.

I'm irrationally annoyed at OP for bringing us into this long ago red flag

Oh yeah I guarantee OP is the type who thinks her husband is the one who has and causes all the problems and she's the poor victim.

How long ago? How old is the child? Please say they're going off to college this fall.

Your mistake was agreeing to become the fifth Mrs. Hemingway.

Let him do it.

If it's not this, it's going to be something else foolhardy. Make sure his life insurance is paid up and dont count on him being around.

Yeah, that wasn't a good sign for anyone over the age of 24 or so. Sounds like he had a death wish.

It’s not even the risk factor. It’s just such a dumb cliche d$ckish tourist thing to do. Like kissing the Blarney Stone but instead of being a cute stupid quaint cliche tourist thing, it’s a drunk lax bro version of it in which a bunch of people who know nothing of the history or culture of La corrida (or the modern debate over its ethics) basically ruin a town.
I would say this is a much bigger red flag that doing something else with some risk (like F1 racing or extreme adventure sports).

Usually men (and women) grow out of these high risk bro things before they decide to have kids.

For men doing the running of the bulls is a midlife crisis thing. Perfectly illustrated in the Billy Crystal movie City Slickers.

Wait until you see what happens to animals in China/Japan.
