Actually, the fried chicken from Giant is great and is reasonably priced.

If you are in MoCo, I recommend the Dutch Market in Germantown. Amish fried chicken is as good as it gets!

Yes, few still around - one in germentown (germentown road) and one in gaithersburg (by old lake forest mall)

Thank you all! I'm in Arlington - looks like I'll be heading to Popeye's. The amish chicken sounds delicious and will have to give the Ellie Bird place a try - it's only open at night so wouldn't work for my brunch.

I used to live in the south and I loved the fried chicken from Publix.
