If he’s happy and just being quiet I’d keep doing what you’re doing.

It’s fine! A lot of kids “rehearse” what they learned that day at night before falling asleep. The fact that he lies there and doesn’t call out for you is GOLDEN. Don’t mess with it.

Okay I'm really trying not to be mean so this is meant in a lighthearted way because it's very hard to be a parent of a young kid, but it always amuses me when posters are surprised/concerned that their human children do things all other humans do.

LOL OP here- yes 100% i fall asleep as soon as I lay down. I didnt know this was not normal. I also randomly have not set an alarm clock in like 5/10 years.... i just wake up on time. Guess im the weird one then.
