Ferry to Capri or hire driver for Amalfi Coast

I think it really depends on when in oct you are going. End of Oct you’re not going to want to jump in the water.

Our boat wasn't that expensive. They are smallish boats with a large bow where you can lie in the sun. And between getting over to Capri and swimming off the boat and exploring around the island, we were on the boat for a good amount of time.

FYI - our private boat ride to capri was canceled last year in October due to rough seas, but we were able to get on a ferry from sorrento the same day. So be prepared to switch quickly if needed. We hadn’t done research on the local ferries and bumbled around a bit and had to wait in long lines.

Do Capri with the teens- there is a built in hike from the harbor.
