No one would get any kinda funding for a 3yo tk he homeschooled when there’s no public option anyway for 3 year olds.

They do in the state of Florida as it includes PreK

Here’s the program. https://www.stepupforstudents.org/scholarships/#unique-abilities

Florida’s homeschooling scholarships don’t depend on disability.

MYOB. Florida has a comprehensive voucher program for students who feel better fit in private programs. It’s a win win to get them out of public programs that cost more anyway. All the reimbursements are reviewed for eligibility.

It’s a part of this program but this child is getting an exceptional person grant. If you claim severe peanut allergies you get one.

So they are getting a couple thousand extra?

Many states have homeschooling scholarships.

A whole family of doctors going in together on a scam for which they receive 10k a year and then bragging about it seems unlikely.

I would report for sure.

You’d think but their whole family is like this. We went to college together. She got a Pell grant when there is no way she qualified. I remember her bragging about using some of the money for a LV purse.

This. It wouldn’t be worth the risk.

She lies to you about what she’s doing and you just lap it up without questioning anything.

Why would someone bother lying about this? She is even posting to Facebook group forums asking about how to itemize expenses.

But given that the same category of scholarships is available to families of children with and without disabilities, her posting to ask how to itemize expenses has nothing to do with how she qualified.

+1 this story is not credible. No (two!) doctors are doing to jeopardize their collective million dollars of post undergrad education and many years of low toil for 4 days at Disney.

Yes they're taking from people who really need it! Report it asap.

I’m not saying you should or shouldn’t, but I’m a fraud prosecutor and I can tell you there’s next to zero chance of them ever being criminally prosecuted for this. If you’re hoping they’ll face a serious consequence, they won’t.

There is nothing wrong with this child but they’ve claim he has a severe peanut allergy and can’t attend any public school so the state grants them funds for homeschooling and outings. They and their whole family are doctors so getting the paperwork to do this was easy for them. They’re claiming his school clothing, at home snacks, soccer practice and Disney trips as school supplies and field trips/activities and get money back from the grant which covers up to $10k. They and their spouse are medical doctors and have a ton of money. The child does not have a peanut allergy and they’ve been bragging about getting money from this program and plan to continue until he’s 18. Report them?

Yes. They are thieves and a child who really needs this help is out of luck.
