Two houses in our small neighborhood (10 homes) now have blue front porch lights . What’s the significance?

Sometimes people put up colored lights because they simply like the color and glow it casts at night.

Sometimes weirdos put up colored lights to "signify" something.
A cursory search says blue lights are used for Autism Awareness and Police Support as well as other symbolic meanings.

Oh I also meant to add to this post, sometimes colored lights are used as signals for certain activities. In parent's country, certain colors means certain things can be bought at that address or are in stock, etc.

+1. If you live in a low crime area turn on the minimum amount of light needed. Yellow lights do not kill bugs which birds and bats need to survive. Uplighting every tree in your yard is also stupid and unnecessary.
