Not if that Civic was a Type R or even a lowly Si. 🙂 Actually I’d find a CEO driving a Civic to be refreshing. Much better than CEO pocketing buckets of money while us underlings make less money. |
You mean like Buffet? |
| Ford Mach-E. It's electric but not crazy expensive. Looks good and is super fun to drive. |
Everyone knows he drives a large Cadillac sedan. |
Unusual? Yes. In a bad way? Absolutely not. My spouse is partner in a consulting firm and drives an accord. |
automakers and banks democratized luxury cars so they are no longer a status statement. Quite the opposite, rich people like pp now brag about the modest cars they drive. Oh, look at me I am so humble I drive an accord |
The Acura Integra is also available in a manual. |
NP here but no, because my Dad was driving a 10-year-old VW Rabbit while he was a CFO. |
Get a lotus, that would definitely impress your neighbors 6-year old kid. |
| Nobody cares about your high income. We have well paying jobs and don’t drive luxury European cars. Just keep whatever you have clean and well maintained. |
Not at all! I worked for a very successful company and the CEO drove a Camry. |
Maybe it’s strange to you, but this kind of thing is definitely commented on and executive presence matters. |
It's not bragging. It's just not important at all. I'm looking at my investment account, planning a vacation, thinking about how high Solana will go. I'm not browsing cars. I can't even think of a person who would care what I drive. My two very well off bosses don't even own a car or they rarely drive. One prefers a bike and the other borrowed a his own 15-year old Land Rover he gave to a friend last time I saw him in a car. They take uber a lot I think. Car has ended up being a nuisance as they both travel a lot. As for OP, I'd buy a small SUV for city driving, sedan for commute, but a 'luxury' Japanese car if indeed driving others around. |
Zuckerberg reportedly drove an Acura. |
