Does anyone else struggle when kids are sick?

Oh. I’m sorry I misunderstood. I worry for high fevers and dry heaving breaks my heart. Anxiety isn’t too bad minus when it’s clear noro is here. And when we all had COVID. Was afraid I’d get too sick to care for kid when dad was out of town.

Anonymous wrote:I don't mean just the regular cold or flu, my son has a stomach bug and was up late last night with vomiting and diarrhea. I'm struggling hard today, going through piles of laundry while waiting for it to hit me, feeling anxious and on edge. I'm just not ok right now, and please be gentle. I realize there are much worse things out there for kids to catch, but it's so hard to see him sick and miserable.

Good lord! You are a grown woman. Act your age!

I feel sad but not sad enough to take care of my own child when they were sick at night. The paid help could deal with that. Beauty sleep is more important.

You actually me sfe your nanny take care of your sick kid in her off hours. You are a horrible person and mother.

Yes, this is me right now, so sending solidarity! Not sure what DS has but he has a high fever and is super lethargic. I get so antsy when he’s sick, and worry it’s going to hit me too. Just one of the extra fun parts of parenthood

NP but having had noro rip through our house twice now I cower in fear at the first signs of fever or stomach stuff.

Doesn't mean you love your kid more than other parents who don't feel the same. Every kid is different, every parent is different.
