Pre-K 4 vs Kindergarten odds

This might be true for some schools, but BVR and Sidwell definitely have full PK and K classes

They look at: gender, size, emotional maturity, fine motor….emotional maturity is probably biggest factor.

I redshirted my son later when switching from public to private. Emotional maturity was reason. Now in college and zero regrets

For Beauvoir your odds will be better applying to pre-k. I would apply to K at the rest at the appropriate age but tell them you are open to repeating pre-k based on the feedback from his assessment.
