Toddler friendly lux Christmas vacation ideas east coast

You could also do something like The Jefferson Hotel and hit the Richmond Children’s Museum and also the Science Museum.

This or the Homestead. The food is better at Nemacolin but the Homestead is more attractive. Both are lux enough and good environments for toddlers. Our oldest, now 22, literally took some of her first steps in the lobby of the Homestead.

I have been to Vermont at Christmas and skiing is unreliable BUT you can have a white Christmas due to snow base. Vermont is nice for shops and restaurants. Would you consider Vermont?

Op here, very good point. Yes open to flying to Vermont. Was considering Poconos but can't find a place I really like.

I suggest either Bear Creek Lodge (it’s a ski place but they have a pool and hiking trails if tubing/skiing is unavailable) or Skytop in the poconos. I think there would be enough as both are nice.

What about Hershey Lodge or Hershey Hotel? No snow but lots to do for a toddler and will be very festive. Nemocolin would be another suggestion.

If you really want snow, fly north. Is the toddler old enough for the kid camps and the bunny hill? Quebec City has an awesome snow tubing park that is a water park in the summer. You’d have to look at what the age restrictions are for kids riding on the tubes with parents.

Mt Tremblant has some of this but obviously not that location. It doesn’t exist.

If you aren’t a teacher, you should do your vacation a different week.

This. Go the second week of December or the second week of January and you will have a better time at 1/2 the cost.

The Homestead would be great for this imo. The indoor pool is really spectacular and the grounds and indoors are great for wandering with a toddler even if it’s cold. Plus they have a snow hill situation.

PS having been there with a toddler, it’s really worth it if you can to get a slightly bigger room and bring some art supplies/toys and stuff, which is an advantage of driving. It makes a big difference to us if there’s a couch and a desk, so one parent has an easy place to chill with crayons and cartoons or whatever and maybe the other can go do something. Because the thing about a place like that is your kid will need downtime too even if they don’t nap. So it helps if your room can make that pleasant.

I wouldn’t drive that far with a toddler and I it’s easier to take his/her stuff if you drive. I’d be looking at the Homestead or the Williamsburg Inn.

Neither destination is appropriate for a toddler.

We’ve done this. We’ve also gone to Boar’s Head in Charlottesville which has the lights festival and combined with some other things around Charlottesville.

Greenbrier has a kids club, indoor pool, and small ice skating rink, so this could be a good option. Plus lots of space for the toddler to run around. They do nickel-and-dime you to death though.

Woodloch Pines Resort in the Poconos also has a lot of kid friendly activities, plus a better chance of snow.

Poconos and lux are not synonymous, but maybe you need to define what you mean by lux?

Vermont is your best bet. Woodstock Inn is reasonably lux.

Or what about the Williamsburg Inn? Kid friendly, christmassy. No snow though.

Neither is lux and indoor waterpark! OP is confused.
