Men won’t do “female-coded” tasks

Would you like it if people talked about about your son “and people of his ilk?” I too have sympathy for this new employee who wasn’t sure what to do but op does not sound like she has a hair trigger and you should drop the the “your ilk” talk (particularly when issuing a type if preemptive request for patience for your adult son.)

+1. So now I’m supposed to assume that men might be autistic and don’t know how to buy gifts? Let’s not generalize beyond what your son’s lived experience might be to all men.
