His district doesn't even enter Fairfax

Would it include Reston town center? All the areas of the PUD? All the areas not in the PUD but part of Reston Association?

I don't live in Reston, but that was my first thought.

Will this bring camp charge down? I hate that Reston charges literally double for people who don't live in their stupid fake city.

I’m another long-time resident of Reston and see no reason to incorporate as a town.

It would mean local control of zoning by people who actually live in Reston. So questions such as the golf course zoning would be decided by the people most affected by that decision — Reston residents.

One needs to read the draft bill to learn precisely where the proposed boundaries would be. It is unlikely the legislature would define the boundaries in a way that created an exclave.

Bottom line is that most people do not like any change.

If Reston already were a town, most people would want to keep it that way. Since Reston is not yet a town, most will not want to make it a town.

Various words will be spoken about this pro or con, but the unspoken reality will be that people do not like change.
