Mini makos blue would be appropriate for both and there are instructors in the water at many practices |
Minis practice at 4 or 5pm on Fridays and 6 or 7pm on Saturdays. |
Op, what you want doesn't make sense. You aren't going to find a group for both of your kids. Your best bet would be York's swim school for your 6 year old and the 8 and under workout at the same time for your 7 year old. Then if 6 year old is ready to move up mid-season, they can join 7 year old. But as others have noted, you will have to travel for this. |
If your 6YO swims in A meets he doesn't need a coach in the water with him at all times. That seems absurd and honestly you're being way too picky IMO. |
I’ve seen plenty of slow 6yo at our div 12 a meets. Surprised they don’t have kids to fill the spot. |

I feel like mini fish is it op. Though it seems a bit intense to me but also seems like what you’re looking for — the practices at 5 pm Friday and 6 or 7 pm on Saturday nights should be fine with a 4 pm school release. I know the 5 pm on Friday might be tight with getting back from dc but maybe since it’s Friday? I don’t think you can find anything better. Maybe you can do double on Saturday but that would be a long night for both kids. |
