The dems have been much more fiscally responsible than the GOP. Clinton had a balanced budget. W and Trump are responsible for over 58% of the federal debt. The reason there was debt under Biden and Obama was the economic dumpster fires left by their predecessors.

What makes this a little bit different is that Musk is stubborn, attention-seeking, has a ton of money, and controls Twitter. It's not unviable that he can make a dent.

He played a big role in getting Trump into the White House. I wouldn’t underestimate him.
