Does anyone else hate the term "c-suite"?

Lol, I’m old. Do people not talk about synergy anymore?

I did work on Goldman’s HQ and their C suite is definitely a suite.

Mine did this and somebody got hung up on "senior" suggesting age. So now it's just leadership team.

C-suite is a term someone (like a journalist) uses to talk about executives, not something you ever say about yourself. Nobody says "I'm c-suite."

I don't hear it often enough to get annoyed by connotations, OP. And I wonder why YOU are so triggered. Sounds like you're going out of your way to find fault with random words.

What do you suggest, senior leadership or hbic or is the latest too millennial.

Just say executive team or leadership team. C-suite is jargon and sounds self-important. If you’re actually important, people know it. And if the don’t, they’ll be happily surprised when they find out and realize they know a leader that’s not a d*ck.

"Upper management" is the standard term.

C-suite sounds dumb and jargon-y.

I detest the use of "team" to refer to anything thta does not involve sports competition.

Same poster. Just looked up some stats. Nearly all women (94%) in c-suites played sports as a kid, and over 50% competed in college. Among c-suites overall, 70% are former college athletes. Two-thirds of Fortune 500 CEOs are former college athletes. Basically, c-suite is bro culture.

Social economics, your avg 50 year old senior executive grow up in the 70s, the avg joe dont send their kids to sports. The kid just chill after school.

Who cares? Why bring up something so trivial while Trump is ruining every facet of our society? Call executives whatever you want.

Haha I love this. I’m going to start thinking of it as c*nt suite.

+1 this plus ExeCuTIve really keeps me going through the slog. We need special handshakes to recognize each other "insiders".
