Do you travel with a backless booster?

Yes, it’s easy and free to check or gate check. We did it last year with our short 10 yo. She carried it at the airport. There’s really no reason not to if your kid still needs one and you’ll be driving at your destination.

So kid is still in a car seat? Or you drive him around with no regard for safety or the law in many states?

Do the rental car companies not have them? We’ve always rented car seats and backed boosters, but haven’t gotten to backless. But I feel like the regular booster they’ve given us comes apart?

Our 8 year old is bigger than yours and we still travel with the bubble bum. We were glad to have it when we got in an accident internationally a few months ago. The driver even told us we didn’t need to use it legally where we were, but man I’m glad we did anyway.

We used a bubble bum. If you don’t want to make the purchase take the backless. You have no idea how high the seatbelt will be in a rental or family members car.

We had a bumble bum or whatever it’s called. Super easy to pack and travel with.
