After a couple of odd encounters with the owner, I can no longer recommend Swim Farm. Norman is the better and significantly less expensive option.

Our child had basically outgrown the program and my husband asked about the next steps in finding a club that did winter meets (Swin Farm and Norman do not). My husband asked about the wrong club I guess and the owner exploded. Very unprofessional and very strange. We stopped sending our child without finishing the package we’d paid for.

Can you expand on this? I was just looking into Swim Farm and this makes me pause…

Oh my, that sounds crazy. Thanks for sharing your experience - we’ll stay away.

We did Swim Farm in the a couple of years ago for my DD, I really liked the structure and thought the owner was very nice and encouraging. I thought it was a good program, especially if your child is doing other sports or you don’t want to worry about meets etc. I would hate for his program to get a bad name bc someone on DCUM had one bad interaction.

We’ve had nothing but great experiences with Swim Farm for all of our kids and Coach P set us up with meetings with other coaches from
other clubs once our kids were ready to make more of a commitment. I find this hard to believe.

Believe it or don’t believe it. Apparently he has an intense hatred of another coach.

We’ve done Marlins and AAC. If you want stroke technique I recommend AAC over Marlins. Marlins helped more with conditioning but AAC was more focused on technique. I also agree with what some other parents have said, the jump from 8 & under to the 9-10 group is a big one. They go from swimming 25 to 50 and flip turns will be more important. Make sure the program works on those over the winter so your kid will be ready when going into the next summer season.
