Just like an abusive spouse, MAGA loves to try to gaslight and say Democrats feel the way THEY actually feel.
MAGA = voting for Trump who pardoned ALL of the horrible anti-democratic people who tried to overthrow throw the US and destroyed the US Capitol.
MAGA = against democracy and while frequently interviewed say that “I don’t want democracy if I can’t have Trump”.
MAGA = vote for Project 2025 that is a blue print for a Christo-Taliban society.
MAGA = frequently saying they don’t want separation of church & state, women’s right to vote, and other Constitutional Amendments that are a core of the United States.

I will NEVER forgive anyone who voted for Trump in this last election.

Fireworks are traumatizing for some people (kids, veterans, ppl with PTSD), animals, and wasteful. They pollute. And they cause injuries. Im fine with a ban but it will never happen b/c "'merica!"

This lie needs to stop cold. As a veteran, it’s infuriating and incredibly insulting. It implies that we are so stupid we cannot tell the difference between our fellow citizens celebrating, and enemy fire.

That’s not what it implies. The fact that you inferred that implies that you have little understanding of PTSD, plus a quick temper to accuse someone of lying and cruel intentions, or you think your experience and your emotional responses are representative of everyone’s and anyone who feels differently is abnormal.

Aside from veterans, many people have PTSD. Some are triggered by fireworks. Their PTSD doesn’t even have to be caused by gunshots. Loud, sudden noises can be problematic for anyone with PTSD and many others who are sensitive to loud noises.

When we say some veterans are triggered by fireworks, we don’t mean all. We also don’t think they believe they’re in a war zone, under fire, and they’re ready to kill or be killed. We think it can create discomfort, can increase stress, anxiety, depression, and can create physical symptoms too. It’s a huge range of responses. We don’t think having PTSD means you’re stupid.
