Ok, then lets pay the full cost of oil, including environmental remediation and the military subsidy. It comes to $12-14/gal instead of the ~$3 you are paying now. |
+1 And I think they voted last night to scrap this but the vote failed. Who put it in there? And why? Yo increase revenue with the tax? To kill the industries? Or to kill the BBB? |
Total eyesores. Ruining the beauty of the country |
Do you know what is worse? A country with denuded forests, piled garbage and no clear air or water, which is the world the GOP wants. |
The landscape was clean and beautiful before it was littered with wind and solar farm eyesores |
Dumb. You’re ignoring US job creation, environmental costs, and the unintended consequences from environmental catastrophe: ruin, illness, loss of taxes. |
Yeah, that highway in CA that’s had wind farms for decades sure would look better with a concrete wall. 🙄 |
Says MAGA who is totally fine with privatizing public lands. |
To describe your trolling attempts as boring would be overly generous. |
Mic 🎤 drop. We subsidize coal too. Bigly. |
The oil companies are heavily subsidized. Either take away all subsidies for all energy, and let the free market pay the actual costs or subsidize what actually provide clean energy and tax that which pollutes. But to suggest that oil is not subsidized or that society (ie taxpayers) don't pay the costs for the environmental and health impacts is ignorant. |
Somebody owes the fossil fuel companies for their campaign contributions.
“ Oil and gas barons who donated millions of dollars to Donald Trump’s presidential campaign are on the cusp of cashing in on the administration’s support for energy-guzzling data centers – and a slew of unprecedented environmental rollbacks.” https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2025/apr/03/trump-fossil-fuel-donors-data-centers |
Just let MAGAs breathe the bad air for a few years and pay the price. It’s the only way they’ll wake up. |
They ignore the big ugly refineries spewing filth into the air. Let them breathe it in. They don’t know better and never will. |
What an impressive government we have, that someone can drop a provision into a bill and it’s just a mystery. |
