The memo claims such efforts will focus on those who are involved “in the commission of war crimes, extrajudicial killings, or other serious human rights abuses … [and] naturalized criminals, gang members, or, indeed, any individuals convicted of crimes who pose an ongoing threat to the US”.

The directive gives justice department attorneys wider discretion on when to pursue denaturalization, including in instances of lying on immigration forms, cases where there is financial fraud or medical fraud against the US or against private individuals; and cases referred by a US attorney’s office or in connection with pending criminal charges.

Prior to the election, there was an article about Stephen Miller talking about turbocharging denaturalization. This is another thing I can’t bring myself to care about. People who voted for Trump will get deported. People who voted for Trump will have family deported. It will be bad press. It’s about time voters face the consequences for their choices.

Not saying don’t think it will start the way you say, but eventually it will be used to quiet opposition. Naturalized and "home grown" Americans will be a target.

My BIL is a naturalized citizen. He has been a tax-paying citizen for over 25 years, but I worry that he will be denaturalized over a traffic ticket. You think that’s not going to happen, but that is 100% Stephen Miller’s plan, as has been done for legal green card holders.
