This exact post could have been been written then, when there was a different principal and different teachers. Which brings me back to my point: it's always been this way at Nottingham regardless of principal or teacher. The constant is the parent population. They are impossible to please and always have been.

It was fine for my kid with a learning disability iep. I don’t think autistic kids fit in well in public school. Better to be in a private, specialized school. Not everyone can afford that though.

I think you also need to consider how small Nottingham is. Its hard for some kids with IEPs because the parents are... interesting to say the least. If you kid has any behavioral challenges in the classroom, parents are not always inclusive. That can happen anywhere but if there are 2 classes per grade in some cases you may want to consider the social apsects.

I would not expect parents to be inclusive to a kid with behavior issues. No one wants to deal with that. If OP’s kid is just quirky, then they will be fine. What kinds of services do they need?

Your one positive experience does not negate the many negative experiences that other families have had. Just because you got lucky with one kid doesn't mean others didn't meet with real barriers. That's what's so strange, you assume because your kid was ok that the other families were just complainers. Not true at all.
