Stephen Miller stands to profit financially from mass deportations--own stocks in ICE contractor Palantir

I can't believe the Republicans in Congress are putting up with this Corruption.

They have lost all respect and dignity.

Do you all believe this type of thing is new for our politicians/those in power?

It was reported earlier this year the Pelosi's investment portfolio outperformed the S&P500. Here is the headline from Bezinga:
"Nancy Pelosi Outperformed Nearly Every Hedge Fund In 2024 – Even Beating The Infamous Inverse Cramer Stock Tracker."
Now it's possible that her husband is an investment genius or more likely, it's a result of Congress having prior knowledge and control over policy that impacts businesses. Remember not too long ago, the topic of limiting the ability of Congress to trade stock came up and their was bipartisan opposition in Congress to it.

Too many politicians start in Congress as middle class and come out as millionaires. They are not building that kind of portfolio on their Congressional salaries.

Guess maga isn’t worried about draining the swamp anymore, they were just angling for the way into it. Pointing out the big gators while they slithered in.

Anyone who believed that was going to happen is a fool. Are you okay with democrats not even promising to get rid of corruption?

What?!? I guess. Better than promises made then promises smashed to smithereens while they point their fingers at the other side in an attempt to distract from what they are doing and then claiming that it’s not happening.

Thanks for at least admitting that you don't objectively care about corruption. You just want to post MAGA burns and get back pats. Trump derangement syndrome is still very real.

Corruption and profiteering in the White House? What a surprise.

That's not the only issue. In my mind, the bigger issue is the motivation that Trump, Miller, and others have to ramp up and sustain unprecedented levels of deportations not just to keep the base happy, but to actually personally profit from it. It's not just Palantir that stands to make lots of money from mass deportations. Take the GEO Group, for example. It manages ICE detention centers and transport services and has one $1 billion in ICE contracts. Its stock went up 41% after the election. GEO Group and its executives donated about $1.5 million to Trump’s campaign and pro-Trump PACs in 2024. As in all things, follow the money.

Oh sweetness, go look in a mirror and give yourself a little back patting. You seem in desperate need of it. Deranged indeed.

Yes, Trump is quite clearly deranged and maga does seem to suffer, but I think that it’s more of a disorder than a syndrome.

Under trump the US has become as corrupt as all the Banana Republics put together.

But it appears he is also motivated by money since he owns stock in Palantir, a company owned by Peter Thiel which "won a $30 million Immigration and Customs Enforcement contract to deliver an operating system tracking and managing deportations, as well as granting 'near real-time visibility' on those who 'self-deport.'"

For some context on how Palantir is closely aligned with the Trump administration: "Alex Karp, CEO of Palantir, was among the scores of tech executives who donated to Trump’s inauguration in January — $1 million, in his case — and Palantir co-founder Peter Thiel was a key backer and former employer of Vice President JD Vance. Once Trump was in office, the firm won a $795 million Pentagon contract, and its name appeared among the high-profile corporate sponsors of the Army’s 250th anniversary event in Washington earlier this month. Palantir’s chief technology officer was among the prominent tech executives formally sworn into the Army’s new innovation corps this month."

Cool.

Now explain Pelosi’s portfolio this year.

BINGO

More journalistically manufactured outrage.

Odd how those same “journalists” couldn’t be the least bit troubled to look into The Big Guy’s 10%, and all the cash flowing into that crime family.

Weird how they had no inclination to investigate that, isn’t it?

So weird.
